Fourteen members of the consortium share a strong commitment to entrepreneurship, innovative forms of teaching and learning and a high-quality research. Working together and learning from each other the ECIU universities strive for scientific and educational excellence which will have real impact on business and society.

In response to the challenges faced by the European higher education, the consortium has decided to propose a novel higher education model on a European scale in the framework of the European University Initiative.

In 2019, the ECIU University was chosen as one of the first European Universities networks under Erasmus + call aiming to become a fully-fledged European university with a hybrid European campus.

At the end of 2021 Lodz University of Technology has joined the elite ECIU network as the only university in Poland.

More information is available on the ECIU website.
